Renata Königsman
I am a Psychotherapist, CBT Therapist and EMDR Therapist in Bristol UK who is fully accredited by the BABCP and EMDR Association UK. I have many years of experience helping clients with issues such as Trauma, PTSD, Anxiety and Depression as well as many other conditions. Find out more about my experience.
Psychotherapy & Counselling offers a safe environment where you can explore any difficulties you may be experiencing, such as unhelpful behaviour patterns and life situations, or how issues from the past are affecting you now. Psychotherapy can help with complex issues including depression.
CBT is a solution focused talking therapy that will provide you with skills and techniques to effectively manage and overcome problems such as anxiety, stress, depression. I use CBT for anxiety, trauma & PTSD as well as a range of other problems you may be facing.
EMDR is a powerful psychological therapy that is used to treat the effects of trauma. You can suffer trauma from a variety of life events that may have overwhelmed you and left you with ongoing psychological injuries. I use EMDR for trauma, PTSD & anxiety as well as many other problems.
The First Step
Our first session is an assessment appointment, in which we have time to discuss the main problems, your symptoms and establish what we need to work on.
You also have a chance to meet me as a therapist and decide if my therapeutic approach works for you. After the assessment you can choose if you would like to continue your journey and start therapy with me.
Together we will set goals for treatment and agree on the number of sessions and the length of therapy, and type of therapy that would work best for you. It will all depend on your individual needs and type of issues you are bringing.
